SERVICES
An Individualized Approach
CHIROPRACTIC
Treatment aims to restore mobility and stability to the spinal and peripheral joints. This is highly personalized and achieved using manual therapy such as soft tissue therapies (myofascial release, scraping, and trigger point therapy), joint mobilization and manipulation, corrective taping, and therapeutic cupping. Common issues addressed include headaches, back and neck pain, sprains and strains, tendonopathies, and arthritis.
FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATED ACUPUNCTURE
This is an evidence-based and neurofunctional approach to treating pain and movement dysfunction using acupuncture. It can be effective in treating a variety of conditions including musculoskeletal pain and movement disorders, sports injuries, functional imbalances, problems of dysregulation, headaches, stress-related disorders, and chronic pain. It is an effective adjunct that can be integrated with other therapeutic interventions.
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
Extracorporeal Shockwave therapy is an evidence-based non-surgical technique that utilizes low frequency acoustic waves to produce therapeutic benefits. Its does this by stimulating metabolism and improving blood circulation to facilitate the healing and regeneration of damaged tissue. Shockwave Therapy can also relieve pain by producing an analgesic (numbing) effect on the treatment area. It can be used to address pathological alterations of tendons, ligaments, capsules, muscles and bones.
FUNCTIONAL ASSESSMENTS
This is a screening tool used to observe limitations in mobility, stability and motor control. The assessments are designed to expose dysfunctions or pain in several basic movement patterns by challenging positions and postures of weakness, imbalance, asymmetry, and limitation. By observing interactions between regions of the body, the cause of painful and injured areas can often be identified.
ATHLETIC THERAPY
Athletic therapy focuses on the effective treatment of musculoskeletal injuries using a mix of on-site care, injury assessment, and active rehabilitation. Corrective exercise is used to address injury and movement dysfunction, and is the foundation of a subsequent idividualized strength and conditioning program.
